Beer Garden Inn

In Addis Ababa, there is a beer hotel owned by some Germans, and called, with Teutonic imagination, the Beer Garden Inn. The brewing is done in the hotel bar. Two beers are produced: a pale lager called 'Blondy', and a similar beer made with barley malt which has been roasted for longer to give a darker colour and smoky flavour, called 'Ebony'. Both were very good, but the Ebony definitely had a special something.

Our driver couldn't drink, so he went for some Qat instead.
